Rutledge Cancer Foundation: AYA Cancer Support

Rutledge Cancer Foundation works to ease the impact of cancer on the lives of teens and young adults (AYA), raise survival rates and find a cure for sarcomas and other solid tumor cancers. This organization funds patient programs that address unmet emotional and physical needs, works to increase early detection, and supports research for less toxic, personalized treatment.  

A unique array of services include:

  • Patient outings to events in the Fort Worth area
  • Carley’s Closet – which provides “New Diagnosis Bags”, Christmas stockings, and other items to ease the discomfort of treatment and hospitalization 
  • Fertility Preservation
  • Fitsteps for Life – an exercise program for AYA patients
  • First Descents Travel scholarships for outdoor adventures
  • Patient Resources
