Compassion Can’t Wait serves single-parent households. Your Cancer Care Services or oncology social worker will need to submit the application on your behalf. The application asks which programs you have applied for before and can provide assistance for gas, rent, utilities, and other expenses.

“Our mission for the past 22 years has been, and remains: the urgent assistance for single parents of critically or terminally-ill children who face financial crisis. By taking care of the caregiver, we care for the child.”

Having a child you love with cancer can be confusing and challenging. Cancer Care Services staff are here to help so that no one copes with cancer alone! We can help you find additional resources and will determine if you are eligible for our assistance programs, such as gas assistance or medication assistance.
