Social Workers

Our licensed social workers at Cancer Care Services do many different things from case management, intake and clinical work. They help people get the things they need, help clients plan their cancer journey, help them with direct financial assistance, nutritional supplements, medication, transportation assistance, as well as addressing the holistic needs of our clients, families and caregivers. If you have any questions at all, please call one of our caring social workers today at 817-921-0653!

Volunteer

Cancer Care Services could not serve approximately 4,000 clients in Tarrant County each year without strong volunteer support. Our volunteer needs vary throughout the year. Therefore, please contact us at 817-921-0653, or mailto:connect@cancercareservices.org to obtain a Volunteer Application. Thank you in advance for your desire to provide HELP and HOPE to those impacted by cancer in our community! Volunteer needs generally include assistance with:

Special Events

Cancer Care Services hosts special events including movie nights, themed parties, a summer kids camp, and more for individual cancer patients and their families. Help is sometimes needed with food preparation, serving, set-up, organization of materials or monitoring children. Special event volunteers must make at least a two hour commitment per event.

Office Assistance

Volunteers are sometimes needed to help with general office duties such as filing client information, making information packets, or answering phone calls. Help is needed during general office hours 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Hours can be on a fixed schedule or as needed.

Donating to Cancer Care Services

Cancer Care Services (CCS) relies on contributions from individuals, corporations, foundations and community organizations. CCS receives no government funds or insurance reimbursements. Only 20 percent of the budget is used for administration and fundraising. So, 80 cents of each dollar contributed helps cancer patients, survivors, their families and caregivers. Since CCS is a registered 501c3 nonprofit corporation, contributions are tax deductible to the extent permitted by law. Our IRS Tax # is 75-1025511. CCS has extensive systems in place to protect the privacy of our clients and donors. We will never share any information about you with another person, agency, institution or entity without your permission.

Memorials and Honorariums

Celebrate the life of someone special by making a donation in their memory or honor. We will send a personalized acknowledgement card to the person of your choice. Please include the name and address of the person to whom you are paying tribute and/or the name and mailing address of the person who should receive acknowledgment of your gift. Also, include your mailing address so we can send you a receipt. We will take care of the rest.

Flexible Ways to Donate

Donate online via our secure website; we accept EFT, Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express (minimum online gift of $25, please). If you would like to mail your donation, please make checks payable to Cancer Care Services and mail to: Cancer Care Services 623 S. Henderson St. Fort Worth, TX 76104-2920

If you would like to donate by phone with a credit card, call 817.921.0653.
